I was thinking there was something else you were referring to when you
mentioned the ability to submit commands through nsradmin to allow NMC
visibility to jobs initiated "outside" of NW.

There is no equivalent of these.

If you need to add a parameter to the savegrp command which cannot be 
supplied from the NSR group resource, (such as -O) then you need to run 
it directly.

You would not be able to redirect the stdin/stderr either, although I am

not sure why you would want to do this.

The basic syntax for starting a group from nsradmin is:
                 echo "
                 .       type            : NSR group;
                         name            : $NWGRP
                 update  Autostart       : Start now
                 " | nsradmin -s $NWSERVER -i -

When you run a group in this way it will also pick up parameters from 
the NSR group resource such as schedule etc.

No it can't as it's not a group.
