Hello everybody,
in order to avoid the boring problem on Windows to see my devices renamed at
boot times, I implemented the Windows 2003 persistent binding. It seems to
be successful. Now, as soon as I run inquire, I'm not able to see the tape
names with inquire and, if I run from the Gui the library reconfiguration, I
receive an error and I have to run jbconfig manually.

This is the inquire output:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>inquire -sl

-l flag found: searching all LUNs, which may take over 10 minutes per adapter
for some fibre channel adapters. Please be patient.

The GUI error states something about the drivers, but I have on my drives
the last drivers provided by HP.

As soon as I run a "Scan for devices" operation I receive an error like ( on
the daemon.raw file)

If I run a nsrjb command no problem at all to configure the librery and to
use it.

Therefore I suspect that networker v7.4.1 has some problems with microsoft
persistent binding names. I would like to know if this issue can be fixed
with a trick or something else; infact defining the library with jbconfig
having 6 storage nodes with 4 drives each in dds is a little bit boring and
you have a high probability to maek a mistake. I point out that if I use the
"normal" tape names on the windows storage nodes the scan for devices
operation works well.

Thanks a lot for any suggestion or fix
