Re: [Networker] Exclude a folder in Windows

Hello,
This is a two step process
Step1: Create Directive on the server--which you have done already.
Step2: Apply directive to any client you want, in this case just open the
client properties to which you want to apply the directive then in General
Tab of this client pull down the directive tab and select the directive
you had previously created and apply it ( FYI-if the directive is
relevant, it can be re-used on all or any clients you have created)
SAVESET: Regardless of directive being used or not you need to specify the
saveset, i.e within a client definition, directive tells networker server
what to skip or allow among other things, while saveset specifies what
exactly needs to be backed up.
NOTE: You can have a client without a explicitly specified directive in a
client configuration, but you must have something in the save set field
for networker to backup.i.e C:\, D:\ or ALL or D:\TEMP are all valid save
sets on windows, just remember that if you chose D:\ as your only saveset,
C:\ does not get backed up for that client only. ( savesets are client
specific)
While creating a new client networker fills in ALL if nothing is specified
explicitly on windows client, you can have multiple savesets on a same
client or you can backup a given server and break up the saveset with each
additional client for the same server.

[Networker] Exclude a folder in Windows
OK, I created the directive...
Do I add anything into the Saveset?
