People? Non-starter when you have 300+ clients and several terabytes moving
every night.  There's no sane way to do it without automation if you expect
that person to do anything *other* than watch 'nwadmin'.

A Perl script running every 5 minutes can recognize the problem every 5
minutes.  People get distracted by things like lunch breaks, phone calls,
and the like - in particular, if the person is watching nwadmin for problems,
and *finds* a problem, who is watching for the *second* problem while that
person either dispatches a trouble ticket or deals with the issue themselves?
