I do this all the time , it works great
You need to either do one of these:
1) run the legato services on the legato server as a domain user who has perms
to map the drive.
2) in the legato client definition, under "apps and modules" tab, put a domain
username in the "remote user" box and his password in the "password box".
Example:
Mydomain\administrator
mypassword

You can't backup a share because a share only applies to a logged in
user. It is possible to backup a UNC path but it is many years since I
did this and I can't remember how.
The correct way to do this is to backup the machine that hosts the
share, but I suppose there are valid reasons why that might be difficult.
