Which NSR directories do I need to back-up in order to prevent
the Indexes from being corrupted?

The problem is we had two Active tapes get re-labled, the tapes were
sent to IBM . IBM recovered the data back to, two new tapes.

The data was recovered /restored from one of the tapes.
When I ran the scanner command on the second tape the Indexes on the
tape were recovered and corrupted the Indexes. This required me having
to work with Legato Support to run mmrecovery

NetWorker has its own provisions for backing up its media and client file databases. First, to back up its media database, simply schedule a backup of your server once daily. Second, to back up its client file indexes, create a new group and make every client a member of that group, including your NetWorker server, but do not use NetWorker to schedule the group. Use your favorite scheduler for whatever operating system you use to run NetWorker server, and schedule the group via the command "savegrp -O" and note that that's an upper case letter oh, not the number zero. This combination will do all the backups you need of your NetWorker server, but be sure to set up your NetWorker server so it does an "mminfo -m" as soon as the "savegrp -O" is finished and mail the results off-site. I send my bootstraps to a gmail account for safe keeping.
