Re: [Networker] Lotus Notes Client

You can backup the notes file system like any other the limiting factor is
that you will need to restore the entire dB for the user ( .nsf) and then
have the notes admin manipulate the dB to get the required email.
I would rather backup notes at emial level when the time is right.

Re: [Networker] Lotus Notes Client
I was told that the .NSF files are live databases and would need an agent.
They are currently being backed up with Arcserve. so maybe it is
different? Would I maybe need an Open File enabler? When I look on EMC's
site it is really hard to find information on this and the versions they
are talking about seem old, unless they are not referring to Notes but the
client itself. Lotus Notes 3.0?

I do. My Notes mail server is a dedicated storage node (adv_file), so we
backup to disk, and then automatically clone from there. Works well, if a
bit slowly. Don't think we needed to do anything special (it was in place
when I started here, 6 months back). It should just be a regular client
license (and storage node license, in our case).
