Right now, we have a test backup server on 7.4, with production on
7.2.2. We can use the nwadmin gui to see everything on the 7.4 test
server. However, when you click on items, they appear slightly
different - for example, when you go to manage clients, and then click
on one of the clients, all of the fields have a slightly different
appearance that a typical 7.2 NW server would.

I don't know of any issues, but I would be leery of using this in a
production environment, unless you use it to just monitor the servers.
That's what we plan to do - use it as a monitoring tool.

All,

Is anyone using the native nwadmin gui for windows on the backup server
in lieu of the NMC server. I understand that all administrator functions
happen through NMC but I would like the abilitity to use the nwadmin
from the windows backup server.

I am running networker server and client 7.4.1 on a windows 2003 server.
