Hi list,

On my old system, I have a directory (/usr/apex/syphon/complete) where we would backup individual daily-created directories. When I fire up recover, if I go into /usr/apex/syphon/complete and type versions, I get all of the versions of the directory that were backed up.

Now, on a new legato installed system that's a mirror of the same process (except with different directory structure) I'm having a problem where legato is only seeing the latest directory saved and not remembering previous directories, which makes it so I have to rescan the tape indexes to use interactive recover, or do the scanner | uasm trick.

In both cases, I'm calling the "save" process with the same arguments (save -b Syphon -l full <directory to save without trailing slashes> ).

I'm not sure if there's just some really stupid thing I omitted in the configuration. I'm not really sure what I'd need to provide to the list to help explain, but I've included two screenshots of what I get on one machine vs. another, feel free to ask me for specific config info and I'll be happy to provide it. As you can see in the below pastes, I have many versions for /usr/apex/syphon/complete, but only today's version for /storage/mp3/ToBackup. The ultimate goal is to be able to see all directories I've previously saved in the /storage/mp3/ToBackup directory. I tried using changetime to change to a date that has the files I want, but even that command failed. It's as if it's erasing previous file index info for /storage/mp3/ToBackup every time I backup a new install.

Thanks,
Pete
