So you have a completely new install of networker on a fresh OS?

If you create an ADV_file device on the Networker server and try and backup 
data to it will it backup?

It sounds like all of the backup data would be going to the Storage node or did 
I read that wrong?  If that's the case, did the storage node cofigure correctly 
on the networker server when you added it? (no errors)

It sounds like it's waiting for the storage node to respond and it's not.
