[Networker] Moving server plus networker upgrade
2008-02-04 11:58:22
Hi Guys
About to upgrade from 7.1 to 7.4.1, will also be upgrading server at
the same time ( running Solaris btw).
In the past when I've upgraded hardware, I've able to keep the hostname
& ip address, not possible this time sadly..
What I need to end up with is the new server being able to use the old
servers indexes to carry out restores.
Do I have to go through the bootstrap, nsrck L6 etc processes to
rebuild the indexes or can I cheat by simply backing up the indexes, res
files and recovering to the new server?
If I added the new server to the old one's remote access list could I
then recover data that had been backed up by the old server?
Thanks
Andy
