We ended up having to use the Networker Change Journal to get incremental
backups to work properly with our RepliStor target servers

Hi,

In our case we decided to go with a third option. We replace the Networker
Workgroup licence by an EMC Replistor licence and start duplicate data to
main site for backup. After the initial copy made on an USB drive, the WAN
bandwidth is large enough while throttling to lower use during the day.
there were no need for personal intervention at the remote site anymore.
That was the fun part!

On the dark side, sometime we receive the following error message:

"The KernelCache may be corrupt and mirrored data may been lost. A
Delete Data Dir needs to be performed"

As I can understand it was cause by a communication problem. when that
append they told us to do a "Delete data dir" and perform a re-sync. The
problem, is when we do that, the Networker client on our central
duplication server want to do a full backup and it is a big pain to do a
full backup of 3TB each time after the synchronisation process. Networker
should backup only the file who as change? not every thing!!!

Any body get around this problem???
