Hmmm. I'll have to look at that. What I'm doing is just using mminfo to
check tapes eligible to be recycled then passing that info to nsrjb to get
all information I need to label the tape.
The nsrjb step may be completely unneeded.
Alter your mminfo query to generate a list of volume names that are
eligible for recycling (and present in your jukebox(es)). Save that to
a file.
Loop over the volume names from the file, and use nsrjb to recycle the
volumes by name (note the -R option to nsrjb). You don't need to know
what slots they're in, you just give it a volume name and nsrjb figures
it out.
As Fazil said, there's generally no need to tell nsrjb what drive to use
for the recycling either -- it will pick one.
Does that accomplish your ultimate goal?
