For testing purposes, I installed NetWorker 7.4 server on a Windows 2003 server. I want to back up a small NDMP server to this Windows server using a tape drive. The problem is, I don't have a tape drive to use for this purpose. I tried setting up an advanced file type device and just a plain file type device. NetWorker won't allow either one of those to become an NDMP device, so I tried setting up a logical device, but when I try to label a tape on it, I get an error message that there's no tape handler for it. So if anyone if anyone can suggest a way to create a file on the Windows server's C:\ drive that would mimic an NDMP tape drive, please let me know.
