[Networker] use of nsrports command
2007-10-11 05:56:08
How does the nsrports command work in an environment where some clients are
behind a firewall and others are not? Do I need to set the nsrports command on
the clients that are not behind a firewall?
For example, the clients behind the firewall are using the command nsrports
-S 7937-7941 and the firewall rule is setup appropriately. The Networker server
is using nsrports -S 7937-7966 and the firewall rule is setup appropriately.
But clients that are not behind firewalls are using the default nsrports of
7937-9936. How does the nsrports setting on the networker server and the
default setting on the clients work correctly when the client range is much
larger?
Thanks, Mark
