another good step is, on the failing client side,
to set the nsrexecd in debug mode :

from a cmd prompt :
        net stop nsrexecd
        cd <where you install networker>\bin
        nsrexecd -D 5

(you may have to increase amount of screen buffer
size/lines from window properties to avoid losing output)

Wait afew secs the output to stabilize

start the group from the server side

Let's look at output of nsrexecd

then CTRL-c to stop it and "net start nsrexecd" to restart
it as a daemon/service

Hello,
Please backup from the client\server with extra vvv switches, via cmd
line, check the deamon\eventvwr messages.
Make sure, you do not have duplicate IP address in the host file and
reverse look up are all working.
Any chance SP2 for W3K went in recently, if not what other windows
patches
were applied recently?
Check the servers file on the client and make sure you list all known
alias for this client.
Thanks
