Looks like you are hitting physical end of media (EOM). The tape drive
should be able to tell the host that you have reached EOM without really
hitting the end, however that feature is dependant on the config on the
host. Obviously since this is a NDMP host and you didn't specify what
type of NDMP device, it's hard to tell what the issue is. Take a look at
how you are supposed to configure the drive on the NDMP server and make
sure the device entry matches your type of drive and find out how to
turn on detection of EOM (usually means that you have a bad st.conf or
other type of configuration).
