I am setting up a new Red Hat Linux ES 4 server with a Qualstar tape
library. For testing, I just installed NetWorker 7.2.1 server, but it
will be a storage node when it goes into production. Anyway, the
library is connected to a Qlogic SANbox Express 1400 which has four
fibre channel cables running to a Dell 2950 with three Qlogic HBA
cards in it (although I am only using two of them now). After much
puttering around, I can get "inquire -l" to see the four LTO-3 tape
drives in this new library, but I am at a loss as to how to make the
robot's information appear in the "inquire -l" output. When I try to
use jbconfig, it can't find the tape library.
I am sure I am missing some step, but I don't know what that step is.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Here's what I have from the
"inquire -l" command:
$ /usr/sbin/inquire -l
-l flag found: searching all LUNs, which may take over 10 minutes per
adapter
for some fibre channel adapters. Please be patient.
