Hello,
Perhaps you need to rethink having DNS on the Legato server, some 
situations will offer more flexibility with using Host file vs DNS, i.e 
having backup network and multiple HBA's in backup server\clients.
If you must use DNS on backup server, make sure it is always avallable, 
create client definations with FQDN\each aliases & ensure reverse DNS 
entries are resolvable on the server & defined for each client on the DNS 
side.
