Yes that is correct, end of life is July of 2008. I have the e-mail from
EMC announcing that date.

7.2.2 has been very stable for us. I just finished attending class for
7.3.2 and it will still be a learning curve for me also . . . .

7.4 I have not heard much about it yet. . . . But I do understand that
it will support ATI5 and I al looking forwards to that . . .

Manel,

Version 7.2.2 is a very stable version. We ran it for a year and were
very pleased with it. We are currently in the process of upgrading all
our sites to 7.3.2 Jumbo Update 1. The interface is very different.
So, there will be a learning curve in that respect. One other thing to
take into account is the end of service life of 7.2.2, which, if I'm not
mistaken, is around June or July of 2008. I have been trying to find
documentation to support that but haven't had any luck yet. If I am
wrong about the EOSL, someone please correct me.

Thanks,

Hello,

Two weeks ago we've finished the hardware and OS upgrade of our
NetWorker server (NetWorker 7.1.4 on Windows Server R2).

Now, we want continue its upgrading to one of the "new" releases of
NetWorker. After searching the list we've seen many problems in
different times with different versions, but we would like to know
what's the actual "state of the art" of the different NetWorker versions

to see which one is better for our environment.

As seen today in PowerLink there are available four different versions
of NetWorker:

        7.2.2 Jumbo (Dec'06)
        7.3.2 (Sep'06)
        7.3.2 Jumbo Update 1 (Apr'07)
        7.4 (Jun'07)

Our question is the following?

- Which one is the "best" actually? (in terms of stability and
performance, environment, etc.)

Thank you.
