Re: [Networker] backup not working after change in server IP

Solaris (Sparc) servers licenses are bound to their hostid (just run
hostid) and not to their IP address, so it doesn't make sense that this
is a license issue. This has been like this since version 5.x.

Hello,
Depending on your networker version, IP may or may not play a roll in
server being disabled, older versions of Networker servers were IP address
dependent, i am surperised though, since you should have got 15 days grace
period after changing IP and if you say it happend right after the change
that illudes me to other issues,( i could be wrong on the grace period)
Please check nsrlic output from nsr\bin directory to confirm, your logs
will also indicated if your server is disabled. You will need to contact
EMC to re-enable it.
Check to make sure your Tape lib is hooked up properly and the drives are
recognized by the OS.
without any further info regarding the state of your server, that is all i
can suggest for now.
