Re: [Networker] Problem using library on storage node

Well, I installed the client and storage node software on the storage
node server and started the networker daemon in /etc/init.d, so this is
what's running:
bash-3.00# ps -ef | grep nsr
root 1383 1 0 17:48:08 ? 0:01 /usr/sbin/nsr/nsrexecd
I then ran jbconfig and configured the library and it showed up in the
Java Admin Console running off the NSR master server.
Is there anything else that should be running? I didn't find any
executables or daemons specific for storage nodes in the software that
got installed, nor does the manual mention any...
Thanks for any help you or anyone else can provide!

I see those errors when the storage node is down. By chance is the networker
storage node software running on the storage node?

Subject: [Networker] Problem using library on storage node
Greetings,
We just ordered a second Sun/StorageTek SL500 + T2000 server running
Solaris 10 and added it as a storage node to our existing NetWorker
7.3.2 server with its own SL500 library. Followed the instructions from
the NetWorker manual and was able to get the new library to show under
"Storage Nodes" in the Java Admin Console *except* that I can't seem to
be able to issue any commands to the new library -- nsrwatch shows the
following errors:
Fri 17:52:37 media notice: check storage node:
electrical.tape.gatech.edu (nsrmon timed out)
Fri 17:52:37 media notice: check storage node:
electrical.tape.gatech.edu (nsrmon timed out)

NSR Server name: scotch.tape, NSR Storage Node name: electrical.tape :)
Running nsrjb from the command line on electrical.tape displays a list
of available slots on the library, but interestingly show the following:
Jukebox rd=electrical.tape.gatech.edu:jb1: (Not ready to accept commands)
I'm puzzled as to why the library would "not be ready to accept
commands"... Any has any ideas what I'm missing?
Thanks in advance,
Andrew Dietz
