Hello,
The Tapes on VTL can be recycled by VTL's own retention rules, Networker
can also quiery them and do the job for you, but for majority of the VTL
vendors, this is a built in funtionality, either when you eject them from
VTL or have rules set to recycle them.

You generally want to let Networker handle that.  Otherwise you're going
to get NetWorker into a very confused state.
