Hello,

Has anyone else seen this problem or know how to get around it?

c:recover: Permission denied by server bkpsrv-tel-s2.tel.us.ml.com:
Cross platform recovery not supported

c:recover: Warning: Cannot remove relocate directory 'VOL:\restore':
Errno = 26435579

I am using the Legato 7.2.1 "recover" command line on my windows XP PC
to do a recover of a single NAS file to a different NAS volume called
/vol/restore, which we set up specifically as a target location for
restores. /vol/restore has never been backed up.

My goal is to enable the NAS system administrator to do single file
recovers from his Windows laptop using the "recover" command line.

The error occurs right away, before Legato tries to mount the tape or to
contact the NAS box via NDMP. I tried a co-workers PC and got the same
error.

The error did not happen when I used the Solaris recover command line.
I was able to recover the file that way. But my NAS system admin does
not have easy access to a Solaris command line right now. Thus my email
to you all.

I am thinking it has something to do with the forward and backward
slashes being interchanged, but am not sure.

Here is a screen shot of the problem on my Windows PC recover command
line.
