Many of our applications are going to need PATCHING for the upcoming
modification to US time. Further (y)our locations Outside Continental US
(OCONUS) will need to make changes as well, requiring them to modify any
local software they have developed.

This is no where near the Y2K scare, but it is something we should be
prepared for.

Details follow:

The United States has planned to change its DST observance beginning in
2007.

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 mandates that DST will start on the second
Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November.

In 2007, the start and stop dates will be March 11 and November 4,
respectively. These dates are different from previous DST start and stop
dates.
