Hi Mark,
this is expected behaviour from the GUI in 7.3.2. Because the
location field is not being
updated correctly in the GUI it is probably inventorying all the tapes.

If you can use the command line try

# nsrjb -Ev -I

And see if this works for you.

Best Regards,

Vinny

I did use this option! I will test it a few more times and log a support
call if necessary.

Use the fast/silent option for inventory. This will simply scan the
barcodes of recognised volumes, and has for the recent past.

I ran an inventory from the GUI because I had put in some new unlabelled
tapes. I expected that it would mount each of the unlabelled tapes and
read the label but it also mounted each of the labelled/used tapes.

As i am using a barcode library it should not have done this. Should I
have used the nsrjb -II from command line to perfrom a quick invnetory?
Is this a new bug/feature?

I'm sorry. How does this differ from -I? Isn't that what normally
happens anyway?
