Hello John, Just went through this.
There is NO Release 2.0.2 Supplement (my case I was using 2.0.4 version of
CBRM). The 2.0.1 Release Supplement was the latest. Explained to me that the
documentation was wrong, but nothing is different between the 2.0.1 and what
would have been the 2.0.2 (or .4) RS.
The installation was pretty straight forward and easy - I had made it
difficult by trying to get my tape drives zoned in and using FC for the NDMP.
I'll try and remember the gotchas: If this is Windows that you are installing
CBRM on, make a copy of the sample.res file and call it something else
(centera.res). All I have in there is the CENTERA_IP, THREAD_COUNT=4 and
CONTINUE=Y. You need a valid license string when installing. If installing the
"8 Node License", you can use the NW 6x3 enabler here. If you are installing
the "More than 8 Node License" you need a 8x3 enabler. I received some temp
enablers from Support.
On the Networker side, Create a client resource. Set the Save Set to
c:\centera (or whatever you called that .res file). Apps and Modules: Remote
User/Password; Backup command: nsrndmp_save -T centera -M; Application
Information: PROFILE=centera, HIST=y, FSTYPE=ntfs, UPDATE=y, and DIRECT=y.
Globals (2 of 2): Remote Access: *@*.
Just started a backup yesterday, it errored out over night, and just
restarted it again. Just testing this out at this point.
This backup module can only do Full or Level Differential.
HTH,
Randy

Hi,
We are looking into NetWorker backups of a Centera. I have downloaded
and read the CBRM manuals which provide a lot of good information, but
not enough on how to specifically configure the associated client under
NetWorker.
The CBRM manual includes the following statement :-
For information on how to use NetWorker as a DMA with the CBRM 2.0.2
software, refer to the Centera Backup and Recovery Module NetWorker
Configuration Release 2.0.2, Supplement. This document is available on
the Legato web site at http://www.legato.com .
I have seached high and low but cannot find this document. If anyone
happens to have a copy (possibly downloaded prior to the PowerLink era),
please assist.
regards,
John Hope-Bailie
