Subject: [Networker] How to auto recycle tapes..pls advise

Hi we run Solstice 6.1 from a Solaris box which is attached to HP
Surestorage 4/40 tape library. The tape library and the sun box are on a
giga switch (private network with 192.168.x.x IP address). The tapes are
Ultrium 100GB native capacity tapes. I have created 2 pools UNIX and NT.
The UNIX backup is for 3 servers and NT has 4 servers. The NT has full
backup on 1st of each month and incremental there after and the
retention period is 15 days. The NT backup does not finish the backup.
We do not do more than 50GB incremental backup daily. Under the volumes
tab in the solstice tool, I see the following:
volume barcoce pool written %used Mode Expiration
location
  BD4540L1 BD4540L1 NT 109GB full 09/15/06 HP_ULTRIUM
  BD4540L2 BD4540L2 NT 102GB full 09/25/06 HP_ULTRIUM
  so on......
What I want to know is how can I set the tapes to be automatically
recycled when they expire. I have tried changing the mode to auto but
after sometime, the tapes expire and do not get recycled and I get the
"waiting for a writable volume for pool nt" message. Can anyone please
advise. Thanks a lot.
