Excellent question for this list!!!

NOTE: I have had no formal training and all that I know is a catch as
catch can self-taught methods. I look forward to talking my boss into
sending me to TORONTO to meet the support team while going to class
there or to our friends in MASS @ . My only other visit to Canada was to
visit my friend (at least that is what the restraining order says I call
her) Shania Twain in Vancouver BC.

It will be interesting to read the various POOLING methods used.
Personally we use a fairly basic INCREMENTAL, FULL, ASR, DEFAULT pooling
system. EMC support recommended one tape labeled as default ALWAYS. It
is eating a tape slot but ok. ASR tape is one slot. Incremental is 10
slots and FULL takes up the rest. Like you have said I have on occasion
needed as many as 4 different tapes to complete a restore.
