I don't know whether it's changed but in the past I found that the NetWorker
client did not operate as expected (i.e., random failures or even complete
failures) with an ArcServe client installed and active. With ArcServe's
services shutdown however, it's not a problem.
This may have changed in more recent versions of ArcServe.
