Are there any catches using DDS for NDMP backups?

We are planning to backup 7 NetApp filers to a PX720 FC library using NetWorker
7.2.2. The drives in the library will be shared by the 7 filers dynamically.

Also, how do I configure "Persistent Binding" of these devices in NetApps (if
at all the concept exists in that world)?

Thanks and regards

- Ram.

Yes you can do it. I wont say "no problem". I've only done it with EMC
Celerra's, but the one thing I've found with the NetWorker documentation is
that you should probably also read the netapp documentation as well.

Hi,

Although the V7.3 docs contain the following:
>
>Drives can be shared between NDMP nodes in a SAN environment.
>Ensure, however, that the NDMP nodes are homogeneous.
>
I'm still looking for sharing a SAN-attached tape drive between "normal" client
backups and NDMP backups taken from NetApps.

Feasible at all?
Anybody has tested this and is willing to share some experiences?

Thanks a lot -sg-
