After looking at a bunch of systems, it seems like a storage node is
differentiated from a client by the existence of executables that
manipulate tape - nsrjb.exe, sji*.exe, etc. Every system that I looked
at that had these executables, also was identified as "storage node" by
the installer when I selected "change the installation".
Thanks to everyone who responded to my question. There was such a
variety of answers; I thought I'd post what I found out.
