Guys

I don't think there is a difference between how you rate your knowledge.
I have been using the product since 1997, and have been qualified since
version 5.x

Hence I rated my knowledge "5" on all of questions.

My colleague rated himself on a lower scale, after he passed the exam we
compared questions (What we remembered) and he had to answer similar
questions to mine.

My colleague had two years of supporting the product for customers prior to
sitting the exam. He passed with a small margin for error.

It is not worth sitting the exam until you understand the product.
You will know when you are ready to sit the exam. :)

Hi all,

May be I am wrong since I could clear both 6.x & 7.x in the first attempt.

I was told someone from HP rated 5 in all topics and could not clear the
exam twice. Considering his knowledge level, we expected the questions to be
more advanced than normal.

I dont agree with Anuj on this. I think you get the same questions in test
regardless of the knowledge level. The knowledge level question is probably
for running some numbers for their management.

  Hi,

Even I do not understand. The certificate does not talk about your knowledge
level.

All I know from the Legato people is that if you select level 5, you are
treated as an expert and the questions are tough as compared to what would
have been for some one selecting Level 1.

Certificate only says LCNA 7.x.

Hi Anuj,
Thanks for your explanation. I still do not understand about the knowledge
level to be selected at the beginning of the examination. What's the
difference in selecting knowledge level1 and level5? EMC will issue the same
certificate after passing the exam irrespective of knowledge level, right?
Correct me if am wrong.

Thanks in Advance,
Srinivas Rao S.
