Thanks for your explanation. I still do not understand about the knowledge
level to be selected at the beginning of the examination. What's the
difference in selecting knowledge level1 and level5? EMC will issue the same
certificate after passing the exam irrespective of knowledge level, right?
Correct me if am wrong.

In the last LCNA I had cleared a year ago for 7.x, they would grade you
form 1-5 on each of the following topics. Earlier till 6.x they used to
give you marks on each question.



Topics include –

1.                Networker Overview.

2.                Installing Networker.

3.                Understanding Networker Resources.

4.                Performing & Customizing backups.

5.                Configuring devices and auto changers.

6.                Managing Save sets, NetWorker databases & volumes.

7.                Administering NetWorker.

8.                Recovering client data & recovering backup server.



In the exam, first 15 minutes are taken to ask you to choose your
knowledge level on each of the above topics on a scale of 1-5. The questions
are based on the knowledge level you have selected.



Practice test is available on Legato site – http://software.emc.com. This
site does not need any login etc.



The Exam fee is around 200 US $. Working knowledge of modules like SQL
etc. or SAN, NDMP backups is a part of LCNS. LCNA is on the basics of
Networker.

Dear All,

I worked as a Networker Administrator and I am going to take LCNA

certification exam this month. I would like to know the following things

before taking the exam.



1. Is working knowledge of Networker Modules(SQL, Oracle etc..) required
or

is Networker Administration knowledge enough to take the exam?

2. Where can I get model questions or dumps related to LCNA??

    (Please note that I do not have access to EMC sites)

3. What is the exam pattern, passing score and fee??

4. I could not find any information regarding LCNA in EMC site. Is LCNA

discontinued?? If so which certification I am eligible to take as I have

worked only on Networker?



Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
