This happened to us many times when the DBA 'tested' a new database or
failed it over to a new server. We had to 'reset' the licenses
periodically. The DBA and I have had some spirited discussions.

Our fix was to consolidate some databases to fewer servers, thus giving
us spare licenses for the DBA to steal.

That's not a configuration issue at all.

That's a license issue.

Someone probably was fooling around and used it on another computer and
have the license locked.

Do a "nsrlic -v"

That should show you who is using the license.

Subject: [Networker] Oracle Module Configuration Error?

Hi all;

Server Win2003 SP1
NW Server 7.1.3
NWMO 4.1

We have a client that's been backing up without incident forever. All
of a sudden we are receiving the following message in the daemon log:
"NetWorker Module for Oracle, UNIX Client/1" is not properly enabled for
client". The interesting part is that there have been absolutely no
changes made to the client configuration on our side and our DBA's swear
there were no changes made to the server.

I've had the DBA check to ensure the RMAN configuration has not changed
(we see the RMAN can't connect, error code 3 message which typically
(for us) means the credentials are inaccurate) and I've stopped /
deleted the TMP contents and restarted the nwremote services on the
client in question.

I was thinking to re-install the module. Anyone have any suggestions?

TIA,

Carter Fowler
