What you want is a wildcard in the path part of the directive. Legato does
not do this. It's probably too hard.

Subject: [I] [Networker] SV: [Networker] Directive to Skip
We have some users who like to create their own tmp directories alot of places,
and I don't want to backup these directories up, is there a directive to to
skip a tmp directory without specifying a full path such as /home/user1/tmp,
/data/oracle/tmp etc etc..?

Emne: Re: [Networker] Directive to Skip
Here are some directive definitions I have some notes on. Hope it helps
you out.
1.
<< /etc >>
+skip: .
This causes NetWorker to skip the whole directory /etc. However, all previous
entries of /etc in the client file index will be kept.
2.
<< /etc >>
+skip: *
This causes NetWorker to backup all the dot files while dropping all other file
entries in the client file index, IF THEY EXIST.
3.
<< /etc >>
+skip * .?*
This causes NetWorker to backup the directory entry /etc (which is the dot file
'.') while dropping all other file entries from the client file index.
The net result is that one should see /etc in the client file index without any
file entries.
Im thinking maybe something like this
<< "C:\WINNT\system32\Perflib_Perfda" >>
+skip: *.*

[Networker] Directive to Skip
I am trying to skip the following:
<< "C:\" >>
+skip: \"WINNT\system32\Perflib_Perfdata*"
Is my syntax correct? Obviously not, because it is not skipping them!
