Unfortunately, I think EMC will count a dual core as 2 CPUs. In fact, I
think a single core with hyper-threading is counted as 2 CPUs...

The CPU is like the ENGINE of the computer. From one side, intel is trying
to sell us that we are getting twice (2) the CPUs. To me a dual "CORE"
processor -> note processo(R) not processor(S) <- is like a V-8 with dual
Carbs. You can either think of the Processor as TWO BANKs of 4 cylinders on
ONE engine or Dual Carbs on one engine in this case DUAL CORE does NOT mean
DUAL ENGINE...

I think legally it is ONE processor until they call it processors.
