In regard to: [Networker] legacy clients, Teresa Biehler said (at 2:29pm on...:

We're planning an upgrade to NW v7.2.2 on our server. We have a couple
of legacy clients running v6.x of the client (Tru64 and Linux). Because
of the level of the OS, these clients cannot be upgraded. Is anyone
running v7.2.x server with v6.x clients? Are there any problems?

Going to 7.2.x on the server should be no problem for 6.x and even earlier
clients (the NetWare 4.22 client is a 4.x client plus a little post-4.x
tweaking, though you need to set an environment variable on the server if
you're going to back up pre-v6 clients).

If you were going to 7.3, you would likely have some additional tweaks
that would be needed, but 7.2.x shouldn't be any problem.
