We have 7.2.1.Build.311 running under solaris with 6.x clients on Solaris 
2.6.
While the older 6.x clients did work just fine, we did upgrade them to 
6.1.3 so that everything conforms to having an /nsr/res/servers file.  The 
prior versions set the server list by editing the startup script in 
/etc/rcX.d.
