Hello
Following Legato Support note may come handy for you!
This did work for me sometimes back, while configuring a client backup
across firewall.

Solution Title: nsrports give user error when trying to configure ports for
NetWorker client
Solution ID: legato13493

Here is the solution:
Using command line on the NetWorker client to configure the ports that it
will use during backups:

nsrports -s (client_name) -a (server_name) -C (connect port range) -S
(service port range)

To add additional information to the Administrator list, perform the
following:

nsradmin -s (client_name) -p nsrexec
print type: NSR system port ranges
update administrator: (list of new administrators)
y
quit

OR

Use NetWorker Administrator GUI on the NetWorker client to configure the
ports that it will use during backups:

1) Start NetWorker Administrator GUI
2) Click on Options... Configure Ports
3) Specify the client... click Ok
4) Specify the service and connection port range as required
5) Add or modify the Administrator list as required to allow remote port
configuration management
6) Click Ok... Close

Also check the nsrla.res file on the client side to ensure that the
administrator's list and client information are correct.

Here is the problem or goal:
nsrports give user error when trying to configure ports for NetWorker client

Error: 'nsrports: 'Rap error: user root on (machine_name) is not on
administrator list''

NetWorker Administrator GUI give error when trying to configure ports for
NetWorker client

Error: 'No privilege to view administrator list'

How to configure ports for a NetWorker client

Problem Environment:
NetWorker

Not logged onto the NetWorker client

Causes of this problem:
The user is not listed in the administrators list for the client.

This is a different list than the NetWorker server's administrator list.
