LOL... I sounded exactly like you 10 years ago. Except my flavor of the
decade was Banyan Vines. Far superior product. I don't want to turn this
into a Win vs Lin thing.

The fact of the matter is Millions upon Millions of people are using
Windows in many flavors. There are almost as many software programs that
are working on Windows. Some better than others.

My thought is the developers of the programs that are working better, do
a better job of RTFM for developers handbook than the programs that are
not working well on windows.

If Server 2000 is any point of reference; Server 2003 in 32 bit form
will be around until 2009+. So it would be a safe bet for EMC to "fix
it".

All GUI has done, is made it so we did not need the secret decoder ring
that is a command line or command line script... They charge enough for
the product that there should be no excuse for not providing what was
promised. The fact that you say their OTHER GUI products do not work
properly either, speaks to this fundamental point. Semper Fidelis, /ALE
