Thanks, I see this is on STK's (umm, I mean SUN's) site now.   Let
us know how your drives behave with it.  

Are there any issues your hoping it addresses?   The release notes are not
too detailed at times.  The following fix looks particularily hopeful:

"Slow read performance due to incorrect speed matching selected. Firmware 
calculates the transfer rate between host and drive at the same time. The 
calculated result was incorrect due to a firmware race condition resulting 
in a slower tape speed than was required being selected."
