Hi,

On the Solaris server, run the commands - pkginfo | grep Sols and pkginfo |
grep SUNW.

In the list of packages displayed, you will get a few Solstice packages. The
ones with Backup & Recover at the end of the description would be Solstice
packages. Remove them using pkgrm.

Now, you can install the Networker package using pkgadd.

Subject: [Networker] uninstall Solstice Backup 5.1

 Hi all,

have been through the archives, google etc to no avail.

We have a Solaris 8 box that has Solstice Backup 5.1 installed, the eval
license expired in 2001!, no docs with this and no history.
I need to install 7.2 client, but it seems that Solstice Backup 5.1 is not
installed as a package.
Could someone please tell me the best way to remove this or is it possible
to install over with 7.2?

Thanks for your time,

Alan.
