How about the ADIC Scalar i500? You might be able to get some trade-in value
from the Scalar 100...

I cannot diagree, at least 100%. One of the problems is that the Scalar 100
is reaching EOL and that scares our management. Another is that the Scalar
100 has one type of connection: SCSI. We need flexibility in how we can
interface with the library, specifically, connectivity to the SANs;
FibreChannel and iSCSI, would be nice to have those support options for
connectivity.

Why not just upgrade your existing Scalar 100 to FC and LTO-2?

I am currently backing up ~6TB weekly to 2 Scalar 100's with 6 SCSI
LTO-2 drives, and it has been rock solid.
