With NW 7.2.1 there are some mandatory NDMP fixes that should be obtained from
EMC/Legato support.
NW 7.2.2 has incorporated all those in the code.

Subject: Re: [Networker] NDMP Restore Fails at premature EOF marker
The release notes for 7.2.2 (which I couldn't find for download
anywhere), has the following:
NDMP Recoveries Fail with a Core Dump if the Application Information
Variable UTF8=y was Set in teh Client Resource (LGTpa80207)
NDMP save sets that were backed up using the application information
variable UTF8=y, fail with a core dump (segmentation fault) during a save
set recover. The nsrndmp_recover process generates the segmentation fault.
Workaround
For a hotfix, contact EMC technical support.
