create a file containing your savesets that you want to change the
retention on. Call it saveset.txt. Run the following:

Cat saveset.txt |
While
Read I
Do
Nsrmm -S $i -e 04/06/06
Done

Nsrmm -S ssid -w date - this changes the browse time of a SSID
Nsrmm -S ssid -e date - this changes the retention for the SSID

IF the only savesets on the volume are the 25 you are changing than yes
the volume will show the new recycle date.

I really appreciate everyone's input with this. I *think* I have the
indexes/bootstrap info going to the right place. The only thing I have
left to do is reset the retention on the several save sets that have the
"wrong"
retention time.

I need to reset about 25 different save sets on two volumes.

Also, if I reset these save set retention dates, will the Volume
information in Network Admin then display the correct retention time?

Thanks again for the assistance.
Diane
