There really won't be a lot of impact on disk space - I'm sure you won't notice the difference.

For NetWorker 6 and above, the expiry date of a scanned in save set will be the current date plus the retention defined for the client in question. If you really wanted to clean up these save sets you would need to obtain a list of save set IDs and remove each one using nsrmm -d.

Note the change from NetWorker 5.x and below where scanned in save sets had a special state that never expired.
