Hello,
You can create devies such as ADV File type on the new server under its own
name, you will have 45 temp licence to test it, you can do all your testing
this way, then just copy nsr dir over to the new server from old, rename
new to old, shut down old first and match IP\etc to new server, this will
transfer your old to new painlessly, you will have to do host transfer
licence after the fact but that is ok.
I just did it just like above over 120 clients and windows server to new
hardware withour a single day's outage, wheater or not it i will work in
your enviroment you can just do a test by coping out nsr to new server
keeping it isolated on its own network ( you can still apply old
servername\ip etc as long as you keep servers from talking on the network)
this will be a positive test of your cutover before you do it.
By the way no need to do any mmreov etc.
