Re: [Networker] How to backup just a client index?

Yes, it does certainly say that. I missed that! I was concentrating on
another part of the man page that says that the server's bootstrap is
saved with every group if the savegrp detects that the server is not
listed in any active groups with autostart enabled.
Is there a way to save just the client's index and not the server's
bootstrap?
If I tar the client index and copy it over to the new server would that
work or would it not show up in the client list so better to use 'nsrck
-L7' to re-build it AND have it show up in the client listing?

savegrp -O group will always backup client index for any client in the

Subject: [Networker] How to backup just a client index?
I added a single client to its own group, no other members. The server
is a member of another group that has autostart enabled. However, when I
run: 'savegrp -O -l full group' it backs up the client's index and then
the server's bootstrap. Why does it do the bootstrap?
I'm saving this to a file type device. The group is a member of a custom
pool that only includes this group, has level 'full' selected and the
given file type device.
Thanks.
