In regard to: Re: [Networker] Scripting of NSRJB commands, Eric Horn said...:
I'm using 4.21. I tried 4.22 w/7.1.3 and they couldn't talk to each
other (couldn't even see the server) so I backed them both down. I
believe I confirmed this with Legato, but it was a while ago and might
have been prior to a 7.1.3 patch.
We used the 4.22 client on NetWare (6.5 + some service pack) against a
patched 7.1.3 NetWorker server on Linux for several months, and it "worked".
On Linux/UNIX, you must set the environment variable
NSR_SUPPORT_NETWARE_4X=1
export NSR_SUPPORT_NETWARE_4X
before starting the NetWorker server software (we set it in the
/etc/init.d/networker startup script, before nsrexecd and nsrd are
started).
You also should be running the "second release" of 7.1.3, the security
patched version which reports itself as "Build 421", or you should be
running 7.1.4. Both of those include the necessary server patch which
allows recovers to work from continuation savesets.
